AUSTIN, MN — Shopping malls in general have been facing questions when it comes to shoppers.

However, the Oak Park Mall in Austin has been dealing with much more.

The malls owners have announced delinquent real estate taxes have been paid.

The owners previously owed more than three hundred and fifty thousand dollars in taxes.

With all that taken care of, businesses tell us they are looking forward to bringing shoppers back to help grow their businesses and the mall.

“We’re out here on the front line trying to run a business and we just need to have that continued support from the community so we can continue to grow and better serve our customers,” Mall Tenant Cory Squier said.

He says the mall and the businesses were always going to remain open no matter the situation and that they look forward to the continued support from the community.
