HAMPTON, IA – It was a gorgeous night out Tuesday evening for folks to gather for the last night of a summer staple in Hampton.
Tuesdays on the Town is wrapping up at the Band Shell Park.
Community members gathered every Tuesday in June for food and music.
Leaders say it’s been a great event for the small town.
“What we like to do is bring people from the community and surrounding communities and just have a good time relaxing with their families,” said Hope Polk with the Hampton Chamber of Commerce.
“The National Guard does such an important role in serving our country and all that they do and its great to have the musicians from that group here playing with us and offering up their talents to share with us,” said Chris Sauke with the Hampton Municipal Band.
The 34th Iowa Army Band played.
They are part of the Iowa Army National Guard from Fairfield, Iowa.
