Fitness Friday: Zumba

MASON CITY, IA – Sometime’s we can get stuck in a workout rut or just get bored hitting the gym all together. But when fitness becomes a fiesta, it’s hard not to want to exercise.

KIMT’S Annie Szatkowski is showing us how to spice things up and make it seems like your not even working out at all.

Zumba is based on latin-inspired dance moves, mixed with aerobics to give a fun, full body workout.

From salsa, to hip hop, this hour-long class feels more like a celebration than a workout.

The moves are easy to follow, all you have to do is watch the certified instructor. The steps also repeat throughout the song, so you’ll catch on.

And don’t worry if you have two-left feet the point is to keep moving and have fun!

You can also modify the moves to your fitness level, but it’s way more fun and effective to not hold anything back.
