ALBERT LEA, MN — Fourth of July weekend celebrations will be continuing at campgrounds all across our area.
Myre-Big Island State Park in Albert Lea is one of those locations seeing quite a bit of activity.
They say the extended holiday is keeping them busy the entire weekend.
“We’re seeing good activity,” Myre-Big Island Jerry Katzenmeyer said. “A lot of people enjoy camping. With the 4th being on a Thursday, it kind of spreads things out a little bit. We were busy Wednesday night, Thursday night. We’ll be busy this weekend also.”
He says the nice weather is bringing more people to the park; however they tell us they still have non-electrical sites available for campers this weekend.
