Iowa man’s body pulled from Storm Lake on Sunday

STORM LAKE, Iowa (AP) — Nearly three days after his boat capsized, the body of a 28-year-old Iowa man was pulled from Storm Lake.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s office says Jaime Adan Jamie-Vazquez’s body was found early Sunday.

The Ireton man was reportedly not wearing a life vest when he went into the water on Thursday.

Jaime-Vazquez and 36-year-old Abel Almamza Troncoso, of Granville, were out fishing in rough waters when their boat capsized.

A jet ski rescued Troncoso, but Jaime-Vazquez couldn’t be found. Authorities say the lake’s deep water and uneven bottom made the search difficult.
