HOLLANDALE, MN – Two storage buildings are destroyed, as well as several irreplaceable items inside, after a fire this afternoon in Hollandale.
According to authorities on the scene, 19 fire departments responded to the massive blaze. The fire started around noon and by 4 p.m. the flames were mostly put down, though the wreckage is still smoldering.
The building’s owner tells KIMT News 3 that two connected storage buildings burned. One contained motorcycle parts being sold online, and the other contained several classic cars and other antiques, including antique toys. There is no estimate yet of the value of what was lost.
At least one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation and dehydration in the hot, humid conditions.
