Waterloo trench collapse victim identified

WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — Waterloo authorities have released the name of a construction worker who died after a trench collapse.

The city director of fire services, Pat Treloar, identified the worker as 35-year-old Deea Lauritzen, of Jesup.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1da5Rq4) that the accident occurred Friday afternoon as Lauritzen was helping to install a sewer line as part of a housing project.
