MASON CITY , IA – The North Iowa Fair kicked off on Wednesday.
The fair has seen some troubled times over the years but General Manager David Green is confident that the changes they made to this year’s fair will draw in more people.
“We’re trying to take all of the recommendations all the that people submitted over the last year and trying to build on it. We want it to be a bigger and better fair,” Green said.
International cuisine, carnival rides and new evening events are the types of attractions that will grab the attention of families and adults
“We’ve got lots of different things going on we just want to invite everybody to come out and see all of the different changes and things we’ve put in place this year. We’re trying to improve things and we’re trying to get the fair rebuilt so it takes the community’s help at this point,” Green said.
A calendar listing all of the events taking place this weekend are available on the North Iowa Fair website.
