ALBERT LEA, MN — Veterans and military members will be getting together this weekend in Albert Lea.
It’s part of the second annual “Freedom Festival” that’s being hosted by the Albert Lea Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group.
Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
From food to games, it provides a chance for people, including veterans and military members, to share their experiences and stories on defending our country.
“The stories that can be told are just amazing,” Readiness NCO Jeffrey Dahlen of the Albert Lea Delta Company said. “The people, these are the people who have been there and done that for America for generations.”
The Albert Lea National Guard will be holding a community open house starting at 2 pm tomorrow at the National Guard Armory in Albert Lea.
That’s where they will showcase vehicles and other equipment they use when in action.
