Woman, dog die following Minneapolis fire

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minneapolis fire department says a woman and dog have died following a late-night fire.

A St. Paul Pioneer Press report (http://bit.ly/138TBEQ ) says firefighters were called to a house fire Friday about 10:15 p.m. They extinguished the blaze and found the lone occupant unresponsive.

Emergency officials performed CPR but the woman died. Her name hasn’t been released.

Authorities say a dog also died in the fire.
