DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Meredith Corp., the Des Moines-based publisher of women’s magazines, websites, and television programs says it is launching a new magazine in November.
Allrecipes will be published six times a year with an initial distribution of 500,000.
Allrecipes.com has a database of more than 1 million recipes. Meredith acquired the business last year from Reader’s Digest Association for $175 million.
Meredith also plans to create an Allrecipes branded television segment as part of its nationally syndicated television program “The Better Show,” which currently airs in more than 160 markets. The segments also will air nationwide to 90 million homes on the Hallmark Channel beginning in September.
Meredith’s publications include “Better Homes and Gardens,” ”Parents,” and “Family Circle” magazines.
