DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Several regional airports in Iowa are set to get federal grant funding for repairs and construction.
Rep. Bruce Braley and Rep. Dave Loebsack — both Democrats — announced the grants Tuesday.
Waterloo Airport will get over $800,000 to rehabilitate a taxiway, Clinton Airport will get more than $600,000 to build a new terminal building and Newtown Airport will receive nearly $400,000 to expand the runway.
Also receiving grants are airports in Mt. Pleasant, Fort Madison and Southeast Iowa.
