KIMT News 3 – Those claiming to the be the family of Michael Cisneros have submitted a statement on their immediate and extended families behalf.
After news of Cisneros’ arrest from Mason City Police Monday afternoon, the KIMT News desk received a call from a woman claiming to be his sister.
Melissa Scholl Boudreaux, sent KIMT a statement that reads as follows:
“At the center of this issue, is a young child whose life ended in tragedy. On behalf of the immediate and extended family of Michael J. Cisneros, we would like to respectfully express our deepest and sincere sympathies to the family of John Snyder, Jr. Furthermore, we are in shock to learn about the arrest of our son, brother, cousin, nephew, and we would ask that the media refrain from contacting any family members seeking information and/or comment. Please allow the justice system to run its course and render its judgment and respect our privacy at this time,” said Boudreaux.
We’ve also tried to reach out to members of the Snyder family but unfortunately they were unavailable to comment.
Michael Cisneros remains in Cerro Gordo County Jail where officers say he has not received any visits or notices from family since being arrested.
He is currently being held under $500,000 cash only bond, and will make his official court appearance on July 26.
