State patrol plane helps in capture of N. Iowa man

WESLEY, Iowa (AP) — A state patrol plane helped authorities capture a man suspected in the shooting of a northern Iowa man.

The Globe Gazette newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/15D4yh3 ) the incident began early Sunday with a dispute between two men in Wesley, a small town about 10 miles east of Algona.

Kossuth County Sheriff Steve Kollasch says 25-year-old Dustin David Kiefer was shot. He was taken to a local hospital, and then moved to a hospital in Rochester, Minn., where he was in serious condition.

The other man fled but was seen in the nearby town of Corwith. With help from an Iowa State Patrol plane, police captured the man.

Officers arrested 25-year-old Andrew Zeitler, of Wesley, on charges of attempted murder and being armed with intent.
