River searchers find body of missing Iowa man

DECORAH, Iowa (AP) — Searchers have found the body of a man who went missing while swimming in the Upper Iowa River near Decorah (deh-KOR’-uh) in northeast Iowa.

He’s been identified as 29-year-old Eric Langland, of Decorah. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier says (http://bit.ly/15MnXwb) the body was spotted around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, about three-quarters of a mile from the Upper Dam.

Officials say Langland had been swimming with a friend Saturday night. The friend told officials that he saw Langland pulled under by the water coming over the dam.
