Iowa City landlord’s peeping trial pushed back

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — The trial of a 63-year-old Iowa City landlord accused of peeping on his tenants has been pushed back again, this time to September.

Elwyn Miller was scheduled to go on trial next week. Cedar Rapids television station KCRG reports (http://bit.ly/16n0wtb) that Miller’s trial has now been moved to Sept. 24.

Miller is accused of spying on women in their bathrooms or bedrooms in at least two properties he owns. He was arrested in October and faces 11 counts of invasion of privacy.

The former tenants also are suing Miller. Trial for one of those lawsuits has been set for Oct. 14.
