Iowa harassment lawsuit trial to enter 10th day

WAVERLY, Iowa (AP) — The trial of a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former Floyd County Attorney office worker will enter its 10th day Monday in Bremer County District Court.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1ccF4vS) that Theresa Farmer’s lawsuit had been expected to go to the jury by Friday.

Farmer’s lawsuit accuses former county attorney Jesse Marzen of touching her, making sexual comments and posting inappropriate things on the walls of his office from early 2007 until her firing in 2009. She says county supervisors and other leaders failed to act on her repeated complaints.

Marzen lost his job as county attorney in 2010 after the Iowa Supreme Court suspended his law license after he had a sexual relationship with a client before he was elected county attorney.
