MASON CITY, IA – Country singer and songwriter, Jim Anthony, led worship at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Mason City this morning.
Anthony said he enjoys playing shows like this because of where he got his start.
“I have a song called “Harding Avenue”, it’s about the street where my grandparents live now through growing up so the music is just sprinkled with this region and the heartland really is what I like to refer to it as so it’s just fun to be able to write those songs and record them and bring them back to the places I wrote about and be able to play them there,” Anthony said.
Anthony has had numerous Top-10, -20, and -40 singles on the Inspirational Country Radio Charts and he played several of them for the congregation this morning.
He has just finalized his most recent album and during this morning’s performance, he shared testimonies about what the title of his new album means to him and his family.
Following the service he had a chance to greet the congregation, sign autographs, and had CDs available for purchase.
