Dubuque man crashes car after bee sting

DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — A Dubuque man is recovering from minor injuries he received from a crash caused by a bee sting.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports (http://bit.ly/13vaUMx) that 61-year-old Gregory Harris was driving in Dubuque on Saturday afternoon when he had an allergic reaction to a bee sting, passed out and lost control of the car.

Police say Harris crossed the center line, ran over a curb and hit a no-parking sign before driving through some shrubs.

Harris was taken to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital, where he was treated and released.
