ALBERT LEA, MN — Minnesota counties are getting some good news when it comes to their 2014 budgets.
Counties, such as Freeborn, will be seeing additional funding from County Program Aid or better known as CPA.
Freeborn County will see an increase of more than one hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars as a result.
County leaders tell us they are in the process of sorting out what to do with the additional funds.
“The board is in the process of several workshops to set the preliminary in September,” Freeborn County Administrator John Kluever said. “And so, this will be a topic of discussion in terms of how we account for that in our 2014 budget.”
With the additional funds, it will bring the counties total to about 1.3 million dollars in CPA they will receive.
