Magazine for adult adoptees launches in Minn.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A new online magazine launching in Minnesota is aimed squarely at a group some say gets overlooked: Adult adoptees.

Minnesota Public Radio reports the magazine is called Gazillion Voices ( Co-editor Kevin Vollmers says many people forget that adopted children actually grow up and make something of themselves.

Vollmers and other contributors to the magazine say the success stories of adoption must be balanced with stories of loss.

Gazillion Voices is planning to inject race into the conversation about adoption. Vollmers says adoption agencies aren’t doing enough to prepare white families who raise children of color.
