New Mexico museum to host Spanish art exhibit

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — The New Mexico Museum of Art will display drawings and prints by Spanish artist Francisco de Goya and others at an exhibition that’s the only U.S. stop on an international tour of artwork from the British Museum.

The exhibition, “Renaissance to Goya: Prints and Drawings from Spain,” opens Dec. 14 at the museum in Santa Fe and runs through March 9.

The museum (http://bit.ly/k4HhS ) is the final stop for the exhibition that’s been in London, Spain’s Prado Museum in Madrid and opens this month in Australia at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney.

The display includes Spanish artists and European artists who worked in Spain from the mid-16th century to the 19th century.
