DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Dubuque will get a $1.2 million federal grant to help rebuild the city’s flood damaged sewer and water systems.
U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley announced the grant Thursday. The funds come from the U.S. Economic Development Administration and will also go to the restoration of the Bee Branch Creek.
Braley — a Democrat who is running for Senate — called the grant “great news for Dubuque.”
The grant is part of a Disaster Relief Opportunity program administered by the Economic Development Administration.
