FBI: Video uses 3 dead Minn. men for recruitment

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A new video appears to show three Minneapolis men who were killed after leaving the United States to fight with an Islamist group in Somalia.

A St. Paul Pioneer Press report (http://bit.ly/14xsCU3 ) says FBI agents are concerned the video is a propaganda piece being used to recruit more fighters to the terrorist group.

FBI Special Agent Kyle Loven says the production value of the new video is higher than previous versions, suggesting an attempt to step up recruitment efforts.

The 40-minute video describes the travels of the three men to Somalia in 2007 and 2008. In one segment, one man compares his experiences to having fun at Disneyland.

The video was posted Thursday on YouTube. Loven says the video was pulled the same day but a new version was available Friday.
