WORTH CO., Iowa – Authorities are on the scene of a crash between a car and a train east of Manly.
The incident happened on Highway 9 shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday. According to an Iowa State Patrol trooper on the scene, the driver did not stop at a red light, and collided with the train. Both she and a toddler were taken to Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa with non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 9 has reopened.
Worth County, Manly Rescue, Mason City, Mercy Hospital, the State Patrol and the Railroad were all on the scene.
