AUSTIN, MN — A generous grant from a southern Minnesota foundation is helping raise the bar on education in Austin.
Pacelli Catholic Schools announced they’ve hit the three million dollar mark for their capital campaign.
As part of the campaign, the Hormel Foundation awarded them a grant of 750,000 dollars.
Organizers tell us besides helping the curriculum; this ensures a positive educational experience for students at Pacelli.
“All of our kids in the high school from grades nine through 12 have their own laptop computers because of this campaign,” Pacelli’s Securing Our Future Campaign Chair Randy Kramer said. “We have a campus wide wireless internet system because of this campaign. Because of this campaign, we have smart boards in our class room.”
Gary Ray, the Hormel Foundation Chairman, says education is one of the pillars of the foundation and they are happy to help.
