DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Des Moines police are investigating a knife altercation between two teenage boys over the weekend.
Sgt. Dave Seybert says the fight between the 14-year-old and 15-year-old happened Sunday night. One boy received a superficial face injury and the other received a more serious stab wound to his abdomen.
The boy with the more serious stab wound ran a block toward his home before he collapsed. Seybert says both teens’ injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Families for the boys say they’re baffled by the incident, and call the teens close friends.
