CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Authorities are investigating the cause of an explosion at a Cedar Rapids mobile home that injured four people.
Fire Department spokesman Greg Buelow says two adults and two children were inside the mobile home at Prairie Oak Manufactured Home Community when an explosion occurred Monday afternoon. The injuries are non-life-threatening.
Buelow says a 30-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter received cuts and other injuries and were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital. A 34-year-old man and his 12-year-old son received minor injuries and declined hospital treatment.
Buelow says authorities believe the explosion, which partially blew out the mobile home’s back wall, originated in the bathroom or bedroom. Firefighters and a bomb squad are investigating.
