Police: Iowa City man threatened store staff

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — An Iowa City man has been accused of threatening staff at a convenience store and fighting with police.

Iowa City police say 22-year-old Brandon Blake entered the store Sunday morning with an open liquor bottle and staff instructed him to leave. He is accused of removing his T-shirt in the store parking lot and making verbal threats to staff.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (http://icp-c.com/1cu6gsx ) Blake resisted arrest but was eventually taken to the Johnson County Jail. Police say he then attempted to head butt officers.

Blake has been charged with an aggravated misdemeanor count of interference with official acts causing bodily injury. He also faces four simple misdemeanors of trespassing, interference with official acts, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Court records do not list an attorney.
