AUSTIN, MN — The search continues for a missing piece of history.
A Hormel Employee’s Identification pin was stolen from the Mower County Historical Society on Friday.
Tips received have narrowed down the time it would’ve been taken from 4 to 6 pm.
Society leaders tell us it is an unfortunate situation and want to remind folks they do their best to protect these priceless artifacts.
“We’re trying to do our best with it,” Executive Director Dustin Heckman said. “We do want people to know we do take donations seriously, we do take care of them. So please, don’t let this deter yourself from thinking about donating to us.”
Heckman says the pin tells a story about the history of Austin and Mower County.
And they just want it returned safely.
If you have any information on the missing pin, you’re asked to contact the Mower County Sheriff’s Office.
