MASON CITY, IA – We have seen some relief from the hot weather recently but for some people, the cooler temps have only made them busier.
North Iowa Golf in Mason City has seen a spike in their business recently thanks to the cooler temperatures.
Mike Oimoen from their sales department said, “lately it’s really, business has been a lot better, a lot more activity outside, people can come buy clubs, try them out, that sort of thing, and the putt-putt is always busy.”
Oimoen said it was a slower season at the beginning of the summer but with the weather cooperating over the last few weeks, it has made it inviting and pleasant for golfers to go out and play.
“Mid 70s and sunny is what everybody wants, they don’t want to come out here and be dripping sweat the whole time so it’s really been a good time for everyone to come out here and mini putt, hit range balls, do whatever they want,” Oimoen said.
