CLIVE, Iowa (AP) — Clive’s red-light cameras are scheduled to be back in operation Monday, now that a new contract has been approved.
The City Council voted 3-2 on Thursday to approve the agreement with Redflex Traffic Systems. The deal includes language that will end the traffic program after June 30 next year.
The processing of violations stopped last month after the council rejected a five year contract with Redflex.
City Manager Dennis Henderson says the new contract gives Clive about $68.50 from each $100 citation that’s paid, compared with $43.50 last year.
