MASON CITY, IA - Registration is underway for area college students, but for one school it’s all about making things convenient.
“EZ Registration Days” continues today as North Iowa Area Community College students register for classes through an accelerated registration process.
The registration process acts as a one stop shop for students to get everything taken care of from applying to financial aid and finally registering for classes.
Administrators say it’s a way to try to keep up with busy schedules.
“We all have busy lives with children and kids and all sorts of activities. So with the E-Z registration, what they can do is they can come in, they take the necessary testing they need to be able to be admitted to the college and we get them enrolled all in one day,” said Rachel McGuire, Admissions Director with NIACC.
Registration will continue again on August 22, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and on August 23, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Students are welcomed to walk-in without appointments.
“The students can just walk in and if we don’t have things on file, then we will get those taken care of and if we need to track down scores or anything like that or if they need to do an assessment, we’ll take care of that. Then they’ll sit down one on one with an academic counselor and actually get signed up for their classes,” said McGuire.
