Cedar Rapids police charge 2 teens in killing

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Cedar Rapids police have charged a man and a teenage girl with murder in the death of a 22-year-old man found dead in an apartment.

Police say that investigators on Monday charged 19-year-old D. Anthony Ray Curd and a 15-year-old girl with 1st degree murder. Both are from Cedar Rapids.

The Associated Press typically doesn’t identify juveniles charged with crimes.

They were charged in the death of Ronald Kunkle, who was found dead from multiple stab wounds on June 10.

Curd was taken to the Linn County Jail and the girl was taken to the Linn County Detention Center.

Online court records didn’t indicate whether the two have lawyers.
