AUSTIN, MN — The numbers are in when it comes to a study about the feasibility of a new recreation center in Austin.
The Austin Vision 2020 organization will be unveiling the results of a study they’ve been conducting about putting a new rec center in the community tomorrow night.
The study polled community members if they would be interested in a new facility and what support there was.
Based on what they’ve seen so far, the numbers show a wide range of support for the project.
“We definitely saw there is a strong interest in a new facility,” Austin Vision 2020 Director Laura Helle said. “We saw some indications that people would really support that new facility, especially based on the feature that they found the most important.”
Several organizations could potentially partner together on the project.
More details will be unveiled tomorrow night at 5:30 at Clifton Larson Allen on Main Street in Austin.
