$10K in brass vases stolen from Minn. cemetery

MAHTOMEDI, Minn. (AP) — Washington County sheriff’s officials are asking recycling centers to keep an eye out for $10,000 worth of stolen cemetery vases.

Authorities say the thieves might try to sell the brass vases for scrap.

The 50 flower vases were stolen over the weekend from Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Mahtomedi (mah-toh-MEE’-dye). Each vase is valued at $200.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Washington County sheriff’s office.
