Standoff ends without incident in Mason City

MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — A six-hour standoff has ended without incident in Mason City.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports ( ) that a handcuffed man was led from a home on South Grover Avenue a little after 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. His left hand appeared to be wrapped in a bloody T-shirt as he got into an ambulance.

His name hasn’t been released.

Police were called to the house around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers communicated with the man, and a squad of officers eventually entered the home.
