Osage police get reports of person entering houses

OSAGE, Iowa (AP) — Police say they’ve received multiple reports of a person entering unlocked houses uninvited in the northern Iowa city of Osage.

Osage police say people have reported finding a person in their house, or a person walking into the house unannounced without knocking.

People have told police the person says they’re looking for someone, before leaving without incident.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1d5HPSr ) the incident has happened about half a dozen times in the past few weeks.

Police are asking residents to lock their doors and vehicles, and to contact the department with any additional information.
