OSAGE, Iowa – Students and staff at a north Iowa school are honoring a north Iowa teacher, in a way they think she’d appreciate.

These students at Osage school are holding a food drive in honor of Mrs. Pauley, a Spanish teacher who was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year.

Currently she is in hospice care, and some of her students want to show how much she means to them and the school.

“She just always had a passion for helping other people and this was one way students and teachers at our school thought that we could help people out in honor of her,” says Ben Dralle, one of her students.

The food drive goes until the 30th of this month.

You can make a donation in Mrs. Pauley’s honor if you’d like.

That can be done through the Mitchell County food bank.
