CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – Major construction in Clear Lake is making way for expanded housing right near Downtown.
New multi-level condos are being built to give more housing options for residents 55 or older in the area.
The 36-unit Garden Park Village is located next to the Central Gardens and it seems like the community is happy to have the addition.
“I was encouraged by the public interest in this project right off the bat. Now they’ve got a few that have signed on and so we’re excited as a bank to be involved. I think it’s gonna be a great project. It looks like it’s a need for Clear Lake,” said Tim Esbeck, Community President for MBT Bank.
Tim along with MBT Bank are helping with financing the project along with the developers and they say once walls are seen for the first time on the lot, it’s going to draw more to the property.
“I think once the facility starts to materialize and they start seeing some of the project going forward, I think there’s going to be a lot more people who will sign on and look forward to living in that place,” said Esbeck.
