WRIGHT CO., Iowa – A north Iowa man facing an OWI charge in connection to a deadly accident is pleading guilty.
29-year-old Jonathan Roelofsen, of Kanawha, faced an operating while intoxicated second offense in the death that happened nearly one year ago. On August 27th of last year, 26-year-old Sabrina Reibsamen was walking on a county road in Wright County when authorities say her boyfriend, Jonathan Roelofsen, struck her with his vehcile.
Wright County Attorney Eric Simonson filed the charges against Roelofsen and according to the criminal complaint, Roelofsen’s blood alcohol level was .086 the night of Sabrina’s death.
