Suspect shaves head to evade authorities

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Police say a man suspected of creating a disturbance with a gun tried to avoid arrest in Duluth by quickly shaving his head to alter his appearance.

Officers were called to a residence where they found a man with shaggy hair standing outside with a rifle. Police say the man eventually complied with an order to drop the weapon, then fled into the residence Wednesday night.

WDIO-TV (http://bit.ly/14oZ23I ) reports police say a man with “little hair on his head” was found in a bed. Authorities say officers later found scissors, cut hair and clothing matching the description of the suspect in the home. The man is in custody.
