2 people rescued from river in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say two people have been rescued from the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids.

Television station KCRG says (http://bit.ly/15DTNgB) a 911 caller around 12:30 a.m. Friday said the people were missing from a gathering near the river.

The two were found and pulled from the water near the intersection of Otis Road and Bertram Road Southeast. The man required medical attention but is expected to recover.
