MASON CITY, Iowa – An area Salvation Army is saying they’re getting bigger.
Officials with the Salvation Army in Mason City say they couldn’t be more proud of their community for all their donations they receive.
But with so many coming in, they’re planning an expansion.
The old flooring gallery store located along Highway 122 will now be a thrift shop for the Salvation Army.
Major Gary Cole says they’re excited.
“This store will be about two and half to three times the size of our floor space their so we can get a lot more stuff out and also the location, this is a prime location to be for us,” said Major Cole.
Major Cole says they’re still working on remodeling the store.
He expects it to be opened by January.
