LIME SPRINGS, IA – A new company broke ground on Tuesday in North Iowa.
The Lime Springs Beef Plant will begin its construction process within the next couple of months.
Plant board members are excited about what this new business will bring to such a rural area and board Secretary, Todd Prichard, says he has been impressed with the investors who have shown interest in the project.
“We think it’ll bring 50 good paying jobs which is important to any community especially in a rural area like lime springs, we think that it’ll help increase the tax base, bring families and people to work at the plant, we think it’s just going to be a positive economic impact for the city of lime springs,” Prichard said.
New jobs means new opportunities and Crestwood High School is one group that is taking advantage of this new company and they were the final organization to invest in the plant
Students in the school’s FFA organization will learn about the business and how it operates.
