Furleigh Farm celebrates its 100th year

CLEAR LAKE, IA – The president of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Craig Hill, presented Robert and Donna Furleigh, owners of Furleigh Farm, with the century farm award on Saturday.

The farm was purchased by Richard and Mary Randolph Furleigh in 1910 and on Saturday, the residing Furleigh’s hosted a party to celebrate their century old property.

“We’re finally acknowledging the fact that we are a century farm, we’re kind of three years late about it but we’re getting around to it.” Furleigh said.

They officially received their award on Saturday evening after a day of classic cars, BBQ and live music.
