Lee Commissioner Tammy Hall won’t seek re-election

Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall, who represents District 4, will not seek re-election in 2014.

Hall, who is currently the only woman on five-person board, was first elected in 2004. In 2005, she became the county commission’s first chairwoman.

Before serving on the county commission, Hall served as a city councilwoman for the city of Fort Myers.

Two other candidates have filed to run for the District 4 seat, which includes Cape Coral and portions of North Fort Myers.

Brian Hamman, a Lee County native, who is currently in management at CenturyLink in Fort Myers, and Former Lee County Manager Don Stilwell both announced their candidacies this summer.
