Lottery deadline near for Minnesota hunters

Minnesota DNR

ALBERT LEA, MN — Hunters in Minnesota are being reminded of an important deadline tomorrow night.

The state DNR says hunters who want to apply for licenses for deer without antlers or wolf hunting or trapping must do so by midnight Thursday.

DNR leaders tell us it’s an important step to make sure your ready when it is time to hunt.

“You’re required to have an antler-less deer permit unless you’re in a special managed area,” Conservation Officer Luke Belgard said. “So, you know it’s good to make sure you’re looking at your map before you go out and you know where you’re going to hunt so that you know what your legal to take and if you need that antler less deer permit to take one of those deer. “

Applications can be found at any Minnesota DNR licensing agent or on the Minnesota DNR website.
