MASON CITY, Iowa – The school year is underway, and that means so have many United Way programs that are centered around students.

Because of that, the North-Central Iowa United Way is in need of volunteers.

They say they’ve received a great response when it comes to folks stepping up to pack backpacks for their “backpack program”, but they still need people to help out with other tasks.

“The packing events are full so we still need drivers to take the food to the schools in a little bit more rural areas, Mason City is however covered.”

Some other areas where they could use volunteer help is with inventory, and they’re also looking for a warehouse supervisor.

If you’re interested in donating some time, you can contact the North-Central Iowa United Way.
