KIMT New 3 — With President Obama scheduled to address the nation tonight, another world power is jumping to the forefront to ease tensions between Syria and United States.
Russia has approached the United States and the UN Security Council about a potential deal with Syria.
It would have Syria turn over their stock pile of chemical weapons.
Political analysts say such an agreement could prove to be a win-win for the President.
“This was a win because of his actions; the chemical weapons were not utilized,” Political Anaylst Dr. Eric Shoars said. “Were turned over to the Russians or whatever national agency. There by assuming no more Syrian citizens would be killed in this manner.”
